Hookworms are not bisexual, hence they have male and female worms and recreate sexually. The male hookworm shoots sperm into the regenerative tract of the female. Female hookworms deliver around 10,000- 20,000 eggs every day. These eggs are gone out of the body through the host's dung.
The eggs take around 48 hours to brood in the dirt until they bring forth into new hookworms. These hatchlings take around 6 weeks to form into experienced hookworms. When they are complete, they are added to the cycle, which starts from the very beginning again.
